  1. Hi, are you the fellow that build the pvc Azek deck in your yard and posted the work on YT? If so have you had any issues with theAzek product?

I read on line that there is law firm, presumably in the US gathering the names of consumers that have experienced poor product performance such as:

    – peeling
    – continuous mold build
    – colour fading
    and the list goes on…

Apparently there is a class action law suit and wanted your input…

    1. Hey Mike. Yes, I am one of the guys on YT for sure, yes, I built the deck using Azek in my backyard about 5 years ago. As of today 2023, the deck has been doing very well, there is no peeling, no color fading. The only mold I have is right after the harsh Canadian winter, all I need is to use pressure washer to clean it every Spring and that’s it, only once a year. I heard about Azek in the very early days (like 10+ years ago) got some bad products and yes I heard about the law suit back then. But not sure if that’s the same law suit you referring to. I don’t have any issues with Azek since I installed in my backyard, I really love it, it’s night and day difference compare to pressure treated. Also, we need to understand PVC, there are also user errors contribute to color fading, such as putting a rubber mat on the deck (due to chemical incompatibility) and stained by sunscreen or bug spray. I am not affiliated with Azek, personally I would use it again if I build another deck. Hope this helps.
